Shipping Policy
This Shipping Policy applies to goods supplied by Alphacon Advisory Pty Limited (ACN 155 306 675) trading as The Jewellery Department (“we”, “us”, “our”).

This policy should be read together with our Returns & Warranty Policy and Terms of Service. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (“ACL”).
1. Order Processing
Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days unless otherwise stated.
Custom, made-to-order or resized items may require additional production time. Estimated production timelines will be communicated at the time of purchase.
We will notify you if there are unexpected delays.
2. Shipping Methods
We ship within Australia and internationally using reputable courier services.
Shipping options, estimated delivery timeframes and costs are displayed at checkout.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed
3. Risk and Title
Title to goods passes to you upon full payment.
Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery to the address provided at checkout.
Delivery is taken to occur when:

The goods are delivered to the nominated address; or

The goods are collected from a postal outlet following a delivery attempt.
Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Authority to Leave & Safe Delivery
If you authorise a parcel to be left unattended (“Authority to Leave”), you accept responsibility for the security of the parcel once delivered.
We are not responsible for loss or theft of parcels after confirmed delivery.
We recommend selecting a secure delivery address and signature on delivery for high-value items.

5. Incorrect Address
You are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address provided is accurate and complete.
We are not responsible for delivery delays, misdelivery or additional charges resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information.
If an item is returned to us due to an incorrect address, re-shipping fees may apply.
6. Delivery Delays
While we aim to dispatch and deliver promptly, we are not liable for delays caused by:

Courier delays;

Customs processing;
-
Weather events;
-
Industrial action;
-
Public holidays; or
-
Events beyond our reasonable control.
If a parcel is significantly delayed or lost in transit, we will work with the carrier to investigate and assist in resolution.
Where goods are lost in transit and have not been delivered, we will provide a remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.
7. International Shipping

For international orders:

The customer is responsible for all customs duties, import taxes and clearance fees imposed by the destination country.

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities.

If an international parcel is refused and returned to sender, shipping costs and any carrier fees will be deducted from any applicable refund.
8. Lost or Damaged Parcels
If your parcel arrives damaged:

Notify us within 48 hours of delivery;

Provide photographs of the packaging and item.
If a parcel is confirmed lost in transit prior to delivery, we will investigate with the carrier and provide a replacement or refund in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.
9. High-Value Items
Certain high-value items may:

Require signature on delivery;
-
Be shipped via insured courier;
-
Require additional identity verification prior to dispatch.

We reserve the right to delay shipment where fraud risk is suspected.
